For this project, I created a miniature library-in-a-tin as part of a conceptual series titled Compact Classics, a collectible product line imagined as something that could be sold in bookstores or gift shops. Each tin celebrates a different classic American author through custom illustration, typography, and packaging design. This tin is for Cormac McCarthy, whose stark, atmospheric writing inspired the visual direction and tone of the piece.

The collection includes:

• Design for tin front and back

• 5 miniature books, with full front, spine and back designs

• 5 book info cards

• 3 custom bookmarks

• An illustrated portrait of the author

• A Compact Classics library card

All elements were designed/illustrated digitally, printed, and then assembled by hand. I felt that this project was a great opportunity for me to showcase multiple design skills, combining illustration, typographic design, packaging, print production, and hand assembly within a cohesive creative concept.
